Episode Quotes

Ser 5-9: You are fortunate your daggit found our hunting party. You were on Deathpoint Plateau. Nothing survives there for long.
Wolfe: We're not barge Lice.
Thane: Or grid rats.
Croft: Yes we are, we were picked for this drop because we're expendable.
Capt. Apollo: Nobody's expendable. Your here to do a job on the Cylons, not each other.
Lt. Boomer: [Indicating Leda while leaning towards Starbuck] She looks like she could take us all on, *with* or *without* chains.
Lieutenant Starbuck: [reading a scanner] Leda. Medic, First Class, expert in laser wounds, and arctic experienced.
Leda: What's the mission?
Lt. Boomer: Commander will brief you.
Leda: [Glares at Croft before turning back to Starbuck] To have Croft and myself in the same place, at the same time, invites disaster.
Lieutenant Starbuck: You don't like him?
Leda: I'm married to him! And no, I don't like him

Mistakes/Goofs

  • Goof (continuity error): When Starbuck shoots down a strafing Cylon fighter on the ice planet, the film then cuts to the explosion of the baseship near Carillon, from Saga of a Star World.
  • Goof (revealing mistake): Painfully obvious paper-mache rocks.
  • Goof (continuity error): The length of Starbuck's hair throughout the episode "The Gun On Ice Planet Zero" part 1 & 2 is different. Apparently Dirk Benedict got a haircut somewhere along the shoot and it shows up in different scenes.
  • Goof (continuity error): The hood of the snow ram, as seen from inside looking out through the windshield, doesn't match the exterior shots. It's obvious that the hood is of a different vehicle.
  • Goof (factual errors): Ice Planet Zero is described as an asteroid, but asteroids have neither atmosphere nor substantial gravity.

Trivia

  • The original script explained that the Cylons had developed a method for turning asteroids into spacecraft with an undiscovered technology. It was edited out of the final product to save time.
  • The schematic of the weapon on "Gun on Ice Planet Zero" is that of a common reflector telescope.
