TALK Battlestar Galactica (Give your review)

milopolaris Aug 5, 2007 10:32AM	I'm halfway through season 3. I lost interest awhile back when it became a soap opera in space with the love triangle between Apollo, Starbuck, & Dee. Otherwise I'd say its the best space-based SF on TV right now.	+0

mustaphaleak Jul 31, 2007 7:05PM	Surely the "lack of closure" at the end of any season of any sci-fi show, or any other with a base storyline for that matter, is simply because the producers usually do not know if they will get asked for another season. Re the techno faults mentioned early on. Surely you have your bablefish in your ear otherwise you could not "hear" English. Perhaps paper is the ultimate disposable communication vessel which can also be kept. Perhaps they they have as many people do a nostalgia for the old telephones, besides remember the inovator of the cell/mobile phone was Startrek The Original Series. Just enjoy the storylines and ignore the small ideosyncracies basically done to help ordinary folk follow them.	+0

wildearl Jul 30, 2007 4:20PM	At first (Season 1 and early season 2) the show was struggling to redefine characters form the original storyline. With that behind them the show has really hit a good stride. I for one would not mind Season 4 to close out the story as long as it offers a good sense of closure, which has been lacking from season to season. I'm still watching but beginning to tire of seaming endless questions the story is spinning up.	+0

buggsrabbit Jun 30, 2007 12:04PM	As much as I love this show, I am kind of glad they're leaving after season 4. It's good to see a show pull the plug while the quality is still high, as apposed to riding the show into the ground, like they did X-files.	+0
jeztor Jun 29, 2007 11:38AM	Yeah, it's a real shame. It's been confirmed that the 4th season will be the last BSG season. All the good shows get the plug pulled it seems. Oh well, it was a great run, and I KNOW that SOMEBODY is going to pick this up again. One great thing about epic stories is that they never die, only the people willing to make them.	+0
pax3 Jun 13, 2007 12:50AM	Just started watching (watched the pilot and the first 3 eps) and I must say this thing is huge!!<br><br> Really thrilling! Good acting.<br><br> Still you'll find a lot of mistakes on movies that try to represent the future.<br><br> Why do they still use paper, old telephones, if they don't know about the planet earth why do they all speak english, and so on....<br><br> Nevertheless, awesome show!!! A must see for all the fans of the genre.	+0
