MISTAKES/GOOFS
- CONT: In the flashback sequence to the CIC of the Battlestar Valkyrie, Commander Adama is wearing admiral's insignia on his collar. He was not promoted to Admiral until many years later.
- CONT: After Col. Tigh breaks up the fight between Adama and Bulldog, the blood on Adama's chin switches between the left side of his mouth, and the center.
TRIVIA
- The Battlestar Valkyrie's emblem is "BSG 41."
- Edward James Olmos read the "Previously on Battlestar Galactica" line at the beginning of the episode.
- Human Survivor Count: 41,421
- The text on the front cover of the invitation to Adama's medal award ceremony read "William Adama/Our Admiral, Our Leader, Our Friend." The text inside the card read "Join the Presidential Anointing of the Medal of Distinction to William Adama for his 45 years of Courageous Service." The verb "to anoint" means "to consecrate or to make sacred." Thus, it seems to be misused here.
- Battlestar Valkyrie receives, for the first time in the show, a name from Norse mythology. Greek mythology is present in the show in the gods and the names of the colonies (inspired in the Zodiac), and several names for Battlestars (Pegasus) or cities (Delphi, Troy). The Valkyries are warrior maidens from Norse mythology who rode the skies on their horses, so Valkyrie seems a good name for a Battlestar.
