This episode featured the series' most unusual cameo guest star: Fred Flintstone! Alan Reed, who appeared in this episode as General McGruder, was also the voice of the Man from Bedrock. In the first scene featuring McGruder - whom the Penguin is trying to win over, deftly taking advantage of the star-struck General's interest in appearing in the movie Penguin claims to be filming - Reed speaks in Fred's unmistakable voice, including his booming belly laugh.
