The title is based on the nursery rhyme 'Hey Diddle Diddle'.
Music and dialogue from this story appears on the original TV soundtrack album originally released in 1966.
While filming the scene in which the Riddler attempts to steal the Batmobile, Burt Ward suffered severe burns when sparks from the dashboard's pyrotechnics display ignited his costume.
