Summary: A old friend and mentor, Dr. Hendricks, of Dr Franklin turns up with a promise of an adventure. What he brings with him is slightly more dangerous than that though - he needs Dr Franklin's help to analyze some ancient artifacts. The artifacts turns out to be highly contageous - when infected by it you turn into a perfect killing machine, with an implanted mind and reason. A journalist sent from earth to broadcast from the station for the first time ever, gets upset when not finding Sinclair onboard as expected. He's a rather reluctant interviewee, due to earlier experiences, so Garibaldi has to take care of her.

MISTAKES/GOOFS

FAIR: When Earth religions are introduced Ivanova shakes hands with a Hasidim Jew. Hasidim aren't allowed to touch women who aren't their wives - in year 2009 at least. This story, however, is set in 2258, 250 years from now, in a universe where the pope is female (mentioned in Racing Mars), and many religious rules may have changed by then, just as they have since 1760.

TRIVIA

The production was running a little behind when filming of the Centauri religious ceremony. To help speed things up Peter Jurasik improvised many of his lines and actions, including climbing on the table and the line "...in purple I am stunning!" Mira Furlan was not told what was happening and her reaction is natural (and rather fitting for the character). This was unusual for B5 as improvisation was not usually allowed due to the ongoing storyline.
During the Centauri Ceremony of Life, a group of humans and aliens can be seen in the background dancing in a Conga Line.
The Centauri religious music was composed by Christopher Franke, who also composed the Babylon 5 theme.
After Delenn meets Lennier at customs, and the two are walking out of the shot, Delenn says, "Now tell me of home; I have been away far too long." In each take, actor Bill Mumy ad-libbed a different line in response, including, "Beatlemania is back," and, "Well, we just got Pizza Hut and cable." Naturally, none of these lines were included in the final cut.
The Centauri religious ceremony was shot all in one take.
