Summary: Of all the songs Prine has composed over the years, his most recent compositions may be his finest. Austin City Limits viewers are treated to several of Prine’s new tunes, including “Iron Ore Betty,” “Bottomless Lake,” “Jumpin’ Jahosafat,” and a gem entitled “That’s the Way the World goes Round.” Like many of Prine’s songs, this last one is an exquisite mix of tragedy, comedy and foolishness.
