- Amy Huberman was originally cast as Dorothy,but for creative reasons upon this series being picked up was replaced by JoAnna Garcia. Dorothy's scenes were re-shot upon Garcia's casting.
- On October 18, 2012, the show was canceled after 8 episodes. It was replaced by the return of the show Whitney.
- The monkey was originally going to be named Dr. Zauis, after the orangutan scientist in Planet of the Apes. However, the rights of the name could not be obtained, so she was renamed to Dr. Rizzo.
