A recently widowed world-travelling reporter decides to leave the big city behind and with his kids moves to a quiet little town in Wisconsin, where he takes a job as a columnist on the local paper. His kids don't adjust so well to the move, and his former boss is constantly trying to talk him into coming back, but as he begins to get into the swing of things, he grows accustomed to his new home.
