In some ways, Norman and Suzie are a very typical American couple. After meeting in high school, dating all through school and college, getting married and having two children, they decided to get divorced. They still are very close, though, and have no qualms about co-operating with raising their kids. In every episode, with flashbacks, they recall important events in their lives.
