SPOILER: In this final episode, Alice was hired to become a singer for a country group, Vera quit to become a full time housewife and mother, Jolene became a beautician and Mel sold the diner. Also, Mel gave each of the waitresses $5000 as a going away present proving that he wasn't a cheapskate after all.
Last show of the series.
For the last show title, the writers used the expression that Porky Pig exclaimed at the end of the Warner Brothers' cartoons.
It is mentioned in the series that Mel's Diner is on 4th Street and Bush Highway in Phoenix. There is no such intersection in Phoenix. Bush Highway actually runs through an Indian Reservation.
