There were a few changes made between the pilot and the rest of the series: Walter Brown replaced Joe McCormick in the lead role, and the family's surname was changed. Leoni Lesinawi played a Fijian policeman, before being cast as a crewman. The original series title was changed from "The Cruise Of The Seaspray" to the more familiar "Adventures".
This was the pilot for a series originally entitled "The Cruise Of The Seaspray". The title was changed to "Adventures..." after the go-ahead was given for a series.
Leoni Lesinawi appeared as a policeman, his real-life job. He was later cast as crewman Willyum.
The pilot was shot in black and white; the rest of the series was in color.
