A young stage magician known only as Tarot spends his spare time solving mysteries both natural and supernatural, with the aid of his stage assistant Lulli and his stage manager Sam. Also assisting him is Mr. Sweet, an antiquarian bookseller with a remarkable store of scientific knowledge.
