The ABC Weekend Special was a weekly 30-minute anthology TV series for children which aired Saturday mornings on ABC from 1977 to 1997. It featured a wide variety of stories in both the live-action and animated realms. In the 1980s, puppet character O. G. Readmore served as the host of this series, as well as starring in five animated episodes.
