- After the success of The Rugrats Movie, Nick and Klasky Csupo had plans to make a movie out of this TV series. However, production of the movie was shut down due to the story being "too dark" for children. Info on what the movie was going to be about hasn't been revealed.

- Originally the Gromble's name was going to be the Womble. But the writers ended up changing the name to Gromble to avoid a lawsuit from the writers of a British TV series called "The Wombles".
