Eric Camden is the son of an Army Colonel, and one of two children. Eric has a younger sister named Julie who had an alcohol problem and Eric helped her overcome that. He also has an adoptive brother named George who is significantly younger as his father and mother adopted George as a pre-teen when Eric was in his thirties. He has been married to his wife Annie Jackson-Camden for over 25 years and they have seven children. Eric has been the minister at Glen Oak Community Church for over 20 years. In twenty years Eric has gained a huge mass of contacts in Glen Oak that help him help others. While often considered nosy, Eric always has a knack for seeing the good in people, and also identifying when people need help. He is a devoted father and husband. Eric suffers from heart problems following a heart attack, and later a double by-pass, but always pulls through. He briefly took time away from the ministry and wrote a novel that was never published and also worked briefly as a DJ on a campus radio station. His hobbies include writing, dinner at the Promenade and helping others. He has a penchant for ice cream, hamburgers from the Dairy Shack and powdered donuts although he has to cut down on those because of his heart problem. He is now a Grandfather and father-in-law to Sarah, Kevin and Carlos.
