MISTAKES/GOOFS
- PLOT: Originally Palmer only came to California for the debate. But this episode, when he calls a conference roughly half of his Cabinet and top advisor's are there with him live. What are they all doing in California with him? They weren't around for the debate, and why would Palmer bring them into the area when the virus is at risk of release (at it has been since roughly 3 p.m.)? Or have them stay there for another 12+ hours.
- CONT: When Kim changes into Jane in the bathroom she comes out wearing brown trainers, but then when she sits at the computer she is wearing black high heels. When she gets up again and walks to the bookcases she is once again wearing the trainers.
- GEOG: The helicopter with Jack and his daughter gets to Santa Barbara in about 13 minutes. It's roughly 95.3 miles from L.A. to Santa Barbara, which means they were traveling by helicopter at 430 miles per hour! That's absurdly fast for the helicopter we see them in.
- CONT: SPOILER: When we see Chappelle lying on the ground after Jack shot him, there is no evidence of an entry wound on the back of his head. Yet in the next shot, we see his face with an exit wound. When Saunders men pick up Chappelle's body, you can see the entry wound in the back of his head.
TRIVIA
- SylviaImports.com, the website Saunders gives to Palmer, is owned by 24 director Rodney Charters. There is only simple text, which reads: Sylviaimports.com A Big Thank-you from the crew of 24. Thanks for watching, we love making it for you, and yes, we did get picked up for Season 4.
- A scene was cut from the final print of this episode, featuring Jack alone in a helicopter, weeping over the death of Chappelle. It bares a striking similarity to the last scene in the first season finale. Presumably, the writers liked the idea of Jack breaking down alone and saved the idea for the final dramatic moment.
- Paul Schulze (I) (Ryan Chappelle) is still credited, even though he only appears as a body in this episode.
