MISTAKES/GOOFS
- CONT: Real-time violation: At the top of the hour as the jet takes off and flies for Mexico, the sun is out in full force. When we see the presidential motorcade fifteen minutes later, they are driving in the dark with their headlights on.
- CONT: Tony made it from the hospital to CTU in a matter of minutes.
- CONT: Another violation of real time; It takes about 15 seconds from the time that Adam radioed security about Gael, to the time when Gael was spotted in a stairwell. It is unlikely that Gael would be found this quickly.
TRIVIA
- When Jack is held hostage in Salazaar's plane heading to Mexico, the guard watching Jack is also watching Speed (1994/I) on his laptop. You can see the part where the bus drives into the hangar on it's way to the runway to crash into the Pacific Courier cargo plane. Dennis Hopper stared in Speed (1994/I) and also played the role of Victor Drazen in the last 5 episodes of season 1.
- The original FOX broadcast began approximately one minute late.
- This episode won the Writer's Guild of America award for Best Drama Writing for a TV Show, beating out such contenders as "Law & Order" (1990).
- This episode originally aired on Reiko Aylesworth's (Michelle) 31st birthday.
