Summary: Jack continues his search of an apparently deserted area, finding a Class III detention facility run by Mark DeSalvo, who knows why the Drazens want the power cut. Mason heads back to interrogate Alexis Drazen. Rick tells Kim what to tell the cops. The country responds to Palmer's press conference regarding Keith.

Andre Drazen: [Andre makes a backup plan] We still need to cut the power.
Karris: But your brother hasn't contacted us yet.
Andre Drazen: He would've called by now... if he were alive. We should assume Alexis is dead. There may be another way, though. The substation for this sector is a half-mile from here. A few ounces of C-5 should be sufficient. To save time, we'll go in through the front.
Karris: The idea is not to attract attention.
Andre Drazen: The idea is to get my father out of prison. This is the best chance we'll ever have.

Andre Drazen: [Andre plans his next move with his men] From the machine room we'll go through the fire wall in section A4.
Karris: That's two inches of reinforced steel.
Andre Drazen: We can take it out with a shaped charge. Concussion will disorient the men posted there long enough for us to take them out. [to Karris] If you have a problem, Karris, share it with the rest of us.
Karris: It took us a year to organize this operation, and now it's all coming apart. First, your brother disappears before he can cut the power, then we find out we're up against twice as many men as you said there will be.
Andre Drazen: We can still achieve what we came here to do.
Karris: I'm not against going in, Andre. As long as we take the time to do it right.
Andre Drazen: You don't think this is the right way?
Karris: I'd say the odds pretty much suck.
Andre Drazen: How much worse would you calculate they've become?
Karris: I don't know.
Andre Drazen: Give me a number. 10%? 20%?
Karris: I'd say fifty.
Andre Drazen: Then I'll adjust your compensation accordingly.
Karris: It's not about the money.
Andre Drazen: You accepted an advance, signed a contract.
Karris: Which you broke first, Andre.
Andre Drazen: [Andre grabs Karris and threatens him with a knife] The next word that I hear from you that isn't constructive - I release you from your contract.

MISTAKES/GOOFS

CONT: When taken to jail, the way Kim is handcuffed to the bench she is sitting on changes between different shots. At first her right arm is pulled over her legs to her left side and handcuffed to the bench, but when Rick is handcuffed and while they talk her right arm is on her right side and appears to be free. As the policeman is unlocking the handcuffs from the bench they are on Kim's left wrist, as she sits up they are back on her right wrist again.
CONT: The previous episode ended at 18:59:59 with Jack and Mason walking on a field at sunset but this episode starts at 19:00:01 with both of them walking on the same field, but outside it is already completely dark.
CHAR: In 6:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M., George ties up Jack's phone by asking to use it. He lies and says the battery is dead in his phone. At the start of this episode, Mason's phone rings. Wouldn't Jack figure out Mason was tricking him?

TRIVIA

The show's creators named Lou Diamond Phillips' character after a fan who won a Fox auction benefiting the victims of 9/11. The real Mark DeSalvo bid $10,000 to name the character.
Lou Diamond Phillips made two appearances on the show, as Mark DeSalvo, the security chief where Victor Drazen is being held. Philips and star Kiefer Sutherland are known for having worked together in the two "Young Guns" films.
