Mistakes/Goofs

• Goof (crew or equipment visible): When Jack is hiding under a car in the parking lot, a police car drives by slowly. The driver is clearly a crew member, wearing a white t-shirt, baseball cap, and sunglasses.
• Goof (continuity error): When Jack hits the fire alarm at Ted Cofell's office building, a minute later he passes a group of people waiting to take the elevator in the same building. Also, the fire alarm can no longer be heard.
• Goof (crew or equipment visible): When Nina is about to call CTU from the office she broke into after being shot by Jack, a cameraman and camera is clearly visible (screen right).

Trivia

• The character Alberta Green is named for actress Alberta Watson, whom show creator Joel Surnow originally wanted to portray the role that eventually went to Tamara Tunie. An Agent Watson was later the recipient of a phone call. Ironically, Alberta Watson later joined the show during the fourth season as Erin Driscoll, the new head of CTU in Los Angeles.
• The character Ted Cofell is named after one of the Producers' Assistants, 'Anne Cofell'.
• Jack's recap monologue is now different: "There are terrorists planning to assassinate a presidential candidate, my wife and daughter have been kidnapped, and the people that I work with may be involved in both. I'm Federal Agent Jack Bauer. This is the longest day of my life." [The closed captioning still showed his old monologue, however.]
