Carter's with Tom's old man on this one: What was Tom thinking? A marriage at eighteen is a major buzz-kill, and Carter's not gonna let it go easy. Maybe this is why he lives to tempt Tom, always coercing him into an after-hours club or setting him up with a hottie. Carter claims his actions are for Tom's own good, and sometimes he's right. But the truth is Carter's been in love with Jessie for years, and would trade places with Tom in a heartbeat. A part of him thinks the new sitch is not fair, having lost his virginity to Jessie before Tom was in the picture. His feelings often gnaw at him, wrestling with the Guy Code by which Carter leads his life. But for now, Carter has no choice but to stand by his pal ... and convince himself there's no ulterior motives.
