The forerunner of NBC's "Nurses" sitcom, "13 EAST" took place on Ward 13 of a hospital and starred Diana Bellamy as head nurse Maggie Poole and Wayne Powers as her arch-rival cheapskate hosptital administrator, Wayne Frazier. Nurses, doctors, patients, orderlies and even visitors added regularly to the pandemonium. Taped in front of a live audience.
