At the age of 10 he and his mother were the statewide champion Cloggers, otherwise known as Mountain Dancing. When 'B.B. King' (qv) was on tour, Goggins and his mother opened for him at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta.
He won first prize at the Gold West State Days Hog Calling Contest.
His wife Leanne owned a dog walking business; they had a dog called Beulah who is still with Walton.
