Memorable for playing the role of "General Gogol" in the James Bond movies from _The Spy Who Loved Me (1977)_ (qv), right up to _The Living Daylights (1987)_ (qv). He previously appeared in _From Russia with Love (1963)_ (qv) as SPECTRE henchman "Morzeny".
