BIOGRAPHY:

Veena is of East Indian descent, and immigrated to Canada with her family when she was a child. Growing up in a somewhat traditional Indian family made having an acting career challenging.

Her passions are nature expeditions; she's traveled by Canoe down the Amazon, gone on safari through the Masai Mara, and horseback rides regularly through the Canadian Rockies. In order to make sure she wouldn't be suitable to become a marriageable Indian bride, she never learned how to cook. But she always makes sure she lives never more than 10 minutes from take-out.
