• Nominated for the 2006 Tony Award (New York City) for Supporting or Features Actress in a Drama for "Rabbit Hole".
• She was escorted by her longtime friend, former _"Cagney & Lacey" (1982)_ (qv) co-star 'John Karlen' (qv), to the 2003 Emmy Awards. After Ms. Daly won the Emmy (for her role of Maxine on _"Judging Amy" (1999)_ (qv)), Mr. Karlen gave her a hug and kiss which was caught on camera during the TV broadcast. Ms. Daly then went on to pay a brief but warm tribute to Mr. Karlen in her acceptance speech.
• Daughter 'Kathryne Dora Brown' (qv) is an actress.
• Daughter Alisabeth is a potter.
