BIOGRAPHY: He is the nephew of the Original Sheik, (Ed Farhat), one of the most notorious classic pro-wrestling heels (villians). Sabu is probably best known for his high-flying and higher-risk taking style.
TRIVIA:
- In a barb-wire match against the legendary Terry Funk, Sabu suffered a deep gash to his bicep from the barbed wire. He ended up taping the wound up and then continued and won the match. He also refused to miss a single match while recuperating the injury. His threshold for pain is beyond compare.
- Once had his neck broken when 'Chris Benoit (I)' (qv) back body dropped him onto his head. This event gave Benoit the nickname "The Crippler."
- Defeated Terry Funk in a Barbed Wire match to win the ECW Title in mid-1997
- Once broke his jaw in a match and taped it up, during the match and continued to wrestle. He never took time off to recover.
- He is of Indian and Persian descent.
