- Plays for the Dallas Cowboys.
- Best known for 2000 incident against the Dallas Cowboys where he repeatedly stood atop the Dallas Cowboys logo in mock tribute.
- Won the celebrity slam dunk competition at the 2000 NBA All-Star Game.
- Missed the deadline for notifying the 49ers of his intent to void the final three years of his deal. Owens and his agent David Joseph claim they weren't told the deadline was moved up to 21 February. Unless the league ruling is overturned, the team will be free to keep Owens's rights or trade him.
