BIOGRAPHY: Multiple award-winning (Esquire Gold Award, Silver Award, Downbeat Poll, Metronome Poll, more) jazz pianist who went on to play with the groups of Louis Armstrong (I), Benny Carter, Jimmy Noone, and Willie Bryant. In 1935, he went on tour with Benny Goodman (I) and Gene Krupa as the Benny Goodman (I) Trio, which made jazz history. Teddy Wilson became one of the best-known pianists in the world of jazz, with a quiet, neat and lightly-swinging style.

- Helped the cause of integration as a special added attraction of 'Benny Goodman (I)' (qv)'s band.
- Inducted into the Big Band and Jazz Hall of Fame in 1993.
