  • When the 'Gunsmoke' TV series went to color in 1967, a new opening was filmed. Jordan was 'the bad guy in black' at the end of the street whom Sheriff Matt Dillon shot every week.
  • His book about his "affair" with Marilyn Monroe (he even claims she had a child by him in the late 1940s) is the main source for the Mira Sorvino/Ashley Judd TV movie "Norma Jean and Marilyn"
  • Born and raised in Circleville, Ohio, the home-town of his uncle, band-leader Ted Lewis (Theodore Freidman).
  • Nephew of Ted Lewis
