BIOGRAPHY:

Mello began acting in a community theater as a child. As a teenager, Mello made her professional debut as a guest star on "Boy Meets World" (1993), soon followed by "7th Heaven" (1996). Later, she was cast as Rachel, a regular on the series "Nothing Sacred" (1997), but it didn't last long enough for her to make a solid impression. Despite her advanced years, Mello played Lily Esposito, Sam's best friend and teen activist on "Popular" (1999). You can catch up with her films through videos of She's All That (1999), Carlo's Wake (1999), Rave (2000), The Brady Bunch Movie (1995), and Spanish Judges (1999).

She began acting in high school, but thought it would be too daunting to pursue as a career. While studying anthropology during her first year of college, an agent saw her performing in a local stage production of "Agnes of God" and encouraged her to try her luck in Los Angeles, California. She made her screen acting debut as a guest star on _"7th Heaven" (1996)_ (qv) She was a regular in ABC's _"Nothing Sacred" (1997)_ (qv) as Rachel, a Catholic who has a controversial abortion.
