BIOGRAPHY:

Mello began acting in a community theater as a child. As a teenager, Mello made her professional debut as a guest star on "Boy Meets World" (1993), soon followed by "7th Heaven" (1996). Later, she was cast as Rachel, a regular on the series "Nothing Sacred" (1997), but it didn't last long enough for her to make a solid impression. Despite her advanced years, Mello played Lily Esposito, Sam's best friend and teen activist on "Popular" (1999). • She began acting in high school, but thought it would be too daunting to pursue as a career. While studying anthropology during her first year of college, an agent saw her performing in a local stage production of "Agnes of God" and encouraged her to try her luck in Los Angeles, California.
