BIOGRAPHY:

Susan Gibney is an American actress. She has 5 older, and two younger, siblings. She moved to Webster, New York at a young age, returned to California to live several times, and again has lived in Webster since 2004. Susan graduated from Buffalo State College in New York with a major in theater. She additionally received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama. She has two daughters.citation needed] She is probably best known for her recurring role as DA Renee Walcott on Crossing Jordan. Gibney was also the professor of drama at Roberts Wesleyan College until 2011.

Susan Gibney has a history of involvement in the Star Trek TV series, some of it behind the scenes. She appeared on Star Trek: The Next Generation as Dr. Leah Brahms and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine as Erika Benteen. She was strongly considered for the role of Captain Kathryn Janeway on Star Trek: Voyager, but the studio rejected her as being too young. She was later considered for the role of Seven of Nine and tested twice.
