BIOGRAPHY: Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, the youngest of 4 children, Susan began print modeling at age 13, but changed her focus to sales after joining the family's publishing company and studying business at Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina. After numerous Industrial Films and over 40 national/regional commercials, she got her first break co-starring in Roger Corman's family film, "Looking for Trouble". Following that, her sales background and on-camera experience enabled her to represent Dirt Devil Products as their National On-Air Spokesperson for the Home Shopping Network, which she currently does several times each month. In 1998, Director John Singleton cast her in his feature film, "Rosewood", but in 1999, she got her biggest break in a recurring co-star role as local diner owner, "Claire" in Aaron Spelling's TV series "Safe Harbor", starring Gregory Harrison and Rue McClanahan, which aired on the WB. Other film credits include "Cop and a Half" playing 'Nick's Ex-wife' the character of Nick portrayed by Burt Reynolds; and "Palmettoville" a Humanesque Production.
As well as an extensive resume Susan's skills range from speaking conversational Spanish, she is well versed in several dialects, a Tae Kwon Do Second Degree black belt, a licensed boat and jet ski driver. She also sits a horse well in either Western or English.
TRIVIA:
- Was the 1997 and 1998 co-chairperson for the Screen Actors Guild Awards Gala in Orlando benefitting local aids organizations.
- Lives in Central Florida with husband and their two children, Caroline Lea and Bo where they support local theater and Gator Football.
- Is currently training for a second degree Black Belt in TaeKwonDo, is an Assistant Coach for the FL. TKD Team in the Jr.Olympics and also teaches kickboxing.
