As of August 2008, Shirley is one of the few surviving cast members who had recurring roles on TV's _"I Love Lucy" (1951)_ (qv). The others are 'Richard Keith (I)' (qv) (Little Ricky) and 'Doris Singleton' (qv) (Lucy Ricardo's somewhat annoying friend Carolyn Appleby).
