She transferred from Ohio State University after one semester, to New York University where she got a major in psychology. While she studied in New York she did modeling work and worked as a waitress. She was later going to to attend John Jay College to pursue a degree in criminal justice but she quit school because she got a job offer that brought her over to the west coast.
Attended Kettering Fairmont High School
She loves New York and divides/divided her time between there and Los Angeles.
Other family members: brother Mike (he's working as an auto-mechanic in Ohio), sister 'Lisa Saum' (qv), who's also working as an actress and she also has a nephew (son to her brother) who was born in 1997.
Her father is African American and her mother Lois is Caucasian (German).
Has a restored 1972 Dodge Charger in her car collection.
When asked in an interview in January 1999, if there were any ex-member of _"Sunset Beach" (1997)_ (qv) that she missed working with, she said that she missed working with 'Nick Stabile' (qv) (Mark in SB) and that he was meaty and that she wished they had explored him more.
