BIOGRAPHY:

Perhaps best-known to English television viewers for his role as Psycho Paul in the odd sitcom 'Ideal', Ryan Pope was born in Manchester in 1973 and,having graduated from acting school, found his first 'professional' role riding a Lambretta, in the guise of a 'Mod' to promote the Quadrophenia comeback tour by rock band The Who. After that he was employed as a catwalk model for the Prada fashion house and was allowed to keep the suit that he modelled, unfortunately leaving the trousers on the bus home. More seriously he has performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company in both North America and the Far East.


TRIVIA:

• For his first 'acting' job he had to dress up as a 'mod' and ride around on a scooter to promote the Who's comeback Quadrophenia tour. He has also worked as a catwalk model for Prada, who gave him the suit, though he left the trousers on an underground train.
