BIOGRAPHY:

Born in Poughkeepsie, New York and raised in Hell's Kitchen, Royana was a child actress whose first professional job was on Broadway at the age of 11, in Neil Simon's "Brighton Beach Memoirs", which she did for over a year. Worked steadily through the 1980s and early 1990s. Had her own series, "Raising Miranda" on CBS when she was 15, and continued to act professionally until taking time off to attend Yale, graduating with a BA in Victorian Literature. Moved first to New York, and eventually to Los Angeles, where she is Artistic Director of the non-profit Alliance Repertory Company. She continues to act (co-creating and starring in "Hold, Please", a semi-autobiographical web series). In May, 2009, she married actor JP Hubbell.
