BIOGRAPHY: Missouri born Roger Eschbacher made his first television appearance on the late-night sketch show "Fridays" back in 1981. Since then he became a member of Los Angeles' popular "Groundlings" troupe and has worked not only as an actor but a writer for many shows including "Histeria!"; "America's Funniest Home Videos" (foreign only); "Detention"; "The New Candid Camera" (1991 version); "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and many more.
TRIVIA:
- (Nov. 2004) The Mr. Wendy campaign ended when confused franchisees suddenly realized he wasn't Dave and demanded the beloved founder be brought back from the dead. Eschbacher "wonders why they approved the idea in the first place", but nonetheless is happy to have earned a nice living for a year.
- Author of the children's book "Nonsense! He Yelled", published 3/18/2002
- His latest children's book, "Road Trip" from Dial Press was published in June of 2006 and is now available.
