- Attended high school in Union, New Jersey.

- Started out as a stand-up comic.
- Dropped out of the University of Houston.

- His roommate in college in Houston was artist/director Julian Schnabel.
- Won Emmys in 1991 and 1992 when he co-wrote the Academy Awards telecast for 'Billy Crystal' (qv). Wuhl also wrote for Crystal when he hosted the Grammy's in 1987-1989. He stars in, writes, directs and produces the HBO television series hit _"Arli$$" (1996)_ (qv), an offbeat satire about the sports world as seen through the eyes of a sports agent.
- Wuhl began performing after college at the Improv in New York, where his stand-up routine drew a strong following and attracted the attention of 'Rodney Dangerfield' (qv), for whom Wuhl then worked as a joke writer.
