Born and raised in Columbia, Missouri, Rob Benedict graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor's degree in Performance Studies.
Benedict is perhaps best known to television audiences for his role in the critically acclaimed series "Felicity," as Felicity Porter's dorm mate, Richard Coad. He also starred as Lucas Pegg in the CBS supernatural drama "Threshold". Other appearances include "Alias" as Sydney Bristow's short-term CIA partner, Brodien as well as guest appearances on "NCIS," "Monk," "Medium," "Birds of Prey," "NYPD Blue," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Snoops," and "Beverly Hills 90210."
His feature film credits include "Waiting..." with Ryan Reynolds, "Kicking & Screaming," with Will Ferrell," "Two Days," with Paul Rudd, "The First $20 Million is Always the Hardest," starring Rosario Dawson, and the ultimate teen movie spoof "Not Another Teen Movie."
In addition to acting, Benedict is the front man and guitar player in the Los Angeles based band Louden Swain, which completed its third album "A Brand New Hurt" in February of 2009 (available on iTunes).
He resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Mollie, their son Calvin and daughter Audrey.
