BIOGRAPHY:

Rick Spence is a Detroit native and Michigan State alumnus who is the host of HGTV's Curb Appeal, shown in both the United States and Canada. Rick has already filmed over 120 episodes of the show and is currently working on new episodes which begin airing in Fall 2004.

Before hosting Curb Appeal, Rick worked as a technology analyst for Gartner/Dataquest Inc. He also provided live business and stock analysis in Silicon Valley for NBC and ABC from 1990-2000. For several years he hosted an internationally syndicated technology show (New Media News) and was nominated for an Emmy Award in 1996. Rick has extensive on-air experience in television and radio with ABC, CNBC, CNN, HGTV, NBC, and TechTV. Rick has also co-hosted the International Web Page Awards with his New Media News co-host, Stan Bunger.

Rick is currently working as a TV and film producer, writer and performer. He's also president and CEO of AVT Pro Inc., a Silicon Valley production company and is a featured writer for publications such as Mix, Audio Media and TV Technology. In his off time, Rick plays drums in a rock band and semi-pro baseball with the Reno Astros.
