Son, Django El Tahir El Siddig, born 16 September 1996, was named for 'Django Reinhardt' (qv), a jazz musician. DS9 co-star 'Alexander Siddig' (qv) is Django Siddig's father.
Has three dogs: a hairless Chinese crested, a black & white miniature toy poodle and a black & white standard poodle (named "Helen").
She was accepted at Princeton but kept deferring and didn't go.
Nana is the daughter of dancers, choreographer 'Robert Tucker (I)' (qv) and ballet teacher Nenette Charisse
Niece of actress-dancer 'Cyd Charisse' (qv).
Gave birth to her son, Django El Tahir El Siddig, during the filming of the _"Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" (1993)_ (qv) episode "Let He Who Is Without Sin...". Not surprisingly, she did not appear in that episode.
Admitted claustrophobic. Had a hard time filming the DS9 episode "Second Skin" in which her character, Kira Nerys, appeared as a Cardassian because of the full rubber makeup she had to wear. Her co-star in the episode, Andrew J. Robinson, played Elim Garak, who became claustrophobic at a young age on Cardassia.
