Was married to and divorced from actor Leo Maguire, with whom she appeared in the BBC soap opera 'Compact' before she found fame in America in 'The Odd Couple'.
The only actress to play the role of Neil Simon's Cecily Pigeon in The Odd Couple on Broadway, in _The Odd Couple (1968)_ (qv) film, and "The Odd Couple' (1970)' television series.
