He was a member of 'The New Christy Minstrels' (qv) and The First Edition with 'Kenny Rogers (I)' (qv).
The musician-turned-actor was 'Bob Dylan' (qv)'s drummer during the historic and controversial 1966 tour, when Dylan brought his newly electrified sound to often-hostile folk fans. That volatile era is resurrected by the official release (11/98) of a long-treasured bootleg, Live 1966: The ''Royal Albert Hall'' Concert.
He says he's addicted to golf.
