Lost to 'Peter MacNicol' (qv) for the part of Stingo in _Sophie's Choice (1982)_ (qv).
Ex-brother-in-law of 'David Raitt (I)' (qv) and Steven Raitt.
Has written lyrics for a number of songs and artists, including two for his ex-wife 'Bonnie Raitt' (qv), one of which, "Longing in Their Hearts," won a Grammy for Raitt. The other song was from Raitt's "Luck of the Draw" album and was entitled "One Part be My Lover."
