Sports broadcaster for the Minnesota Twins from 1967 to 1969, the Milwaukee Brewers from 1970 to 1979, and the Texas Rangers from 1982 to 1989.
He served in the Navy during WWII, and earned a degree in broadcasting from the University of Denver. His career began with the minor-league Topeka Owls in 1949.
His broadcasting career included calling pro and college sports on national TV, the World Series, the Super Bowl, and the Winter Olympics.
