Is fluent in German and French.
Before getting the recurring role of Rom on _"Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" (1993)_ (qv), he auditioned for the role of Rom's brother, Quark.
Before playing the part of Rom (or auditioning for the part of Quark) on "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine", Max played the part the Ferengi Sovak on the Captain's Holiday (3.19) episode of "Star Trek: The Next Generation".
Has his own action figure in the likeness of his character, Rom, from the _"Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" (1993)_ (qv) TV series.
Along with fellow DS9 co-stars 'Aron Eisenberg' (qv), 'Chase Masterson' (qv) and the late 'Cecily Adams' (qv), he was part of the popular "Ferengi Family Hour" comedy sketch that frequented Star Trek conventions.
