- Played stripper Tessie Tura opposite 'Angela Lansbury' (qv)'s Rose in the 1974 revival of "Gypsy" and was Ms. Lansbury's understudy as well.
- Nominee for the 2006 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical for "Grey Gardens".
- Ms. Wilson grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her father was a doctor specializing in the treatment of tuberculosis. He moved his family south when he was asked to work at Ochsner Hospital.
- Played cocktail waitress Ginny, 'Bonnie Franklin' (qv)'s friend and neighbor on the second season of "One Day at a Time".
- Winner of the 2007 Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her role as old Edith Bouvier Beale in "Grey Gardens".
