Has ben nominated for Broadway's Tony Award three times: as Best Actress (Featured Role - Musical) in 1994 for "Passion," a role she recreated in the television version of the same title, _Passion (1996/I) (TV)_; and as Best Actress (Musical) in 1998 for "Ragtime" and in 2000 for a revival of 'Cole Porter' (qv)'s "Kiss Me, Kate."
She was nominated for a 2002 Laurence Olivier Theatre Award for Best Actress in a Musical of 2001 for her performance in Kiss Me Kate at the Victoria Palace in London, England.
