Met her husband in Puerto Rico where they both were performing. They lived together since 1960 before marrying in 1985. They had one daughter.
Was engaged to 'James Dean (I)' (qv) in 1952 and later wrote a book about their love called "Dizzy and Jimmy.".
Started out in show business as a dancer.
Considered Actress 'Elizabeth Montgomery (I)' (qv) to be her best friend.
Father was Frank Sheridan, a classical pianist. Mother was Elizabeth Poole-Jones, a concert singer. She is the younger of their two daughters.
Late husband, Dale Wales, was a jazz trumpeter. He died of lung cancer and left behind an $80,000 credit card debt. Liz subsequently had to file for bankruptcy.
